John R. Rossini passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 95. Born in the Bronx, NY, Mr. Rossini was the son of Michael and Bibiana Panzarino Rossini. After graduating from Bronx Vocational High School, he joined the US Army and honorably served his country returning home as a Corporal.
Mr. Rossini worked as a Blacksmith for the New York City Department of Sanitation for over 30 years. He also added to his accomplishments the building of his own house in the Bronx before moving his family to Rye, where he became an avid gardener.
Mr. Rossini married the former Ruth Torosian on February 25, 1950. A marriage of 63 years that would come to a closing with Ruth’s passing on September 27, 2013. Together they would raise there two sons.
Mr. Rossini is survived by his sons: John M. (Janet) of Mamaroneck, NY, and Mark T. (Katia) of Rye, NY, one grandson Dagan of Wilton, CT and his brother Anthony Rossini of Ft. Meyers, FL.
The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home, 1036 Boston Post Road, Rye, NY on Tuesday, October 10, from 4 to 8 PM. The funeral will take place on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY.
