Rye Boys Varsity Swimming made waves at the Section 1 League 3 Championship meet that concluded at Mark Twain Middle School on Saturday, tying for first place with Yonkers.
“Rye-Blind Brook started the League 3 championship meet out strong by placing first (Niko Field) and second (Finn Hansen) in the 1M diving competition on Thursday afternoon,” said Rye Boys Varsity Swimming Coach Katie Konopka. “The meet resumed on Saturday at the Mark Twain Pool in Yonkers. The 200 Medley Relay of Kieran Moran, Filip Glitterstam, Wilson Redd, and Tripp Redd placed second with a season best time. The 200 Free Relay of Bryan Laverty, Filip Glitterstam, Wilson Redd, Tripp Redd also placed second with a season best time. The 400 Free Relay of Bryan Laverty, Finn Palermo, Jon Capaldi, and Kieran Moran placed third.”

- 200 IM: Kieran Moran (4th), Filip Glitterstam (5th), George Papaioannou (8th)

- 100 Fly: Bryan Laverty (4th), Wilson Redd (8th), George Papaioannou (9th)
- 100 Free: Tripp Redd (4th), Finn Palermo (10th), Jon Capaldi (11th)
- 500 Free: Will Soviero (6th), Vlad Moscaliuc (13th, Michael Hamlet (15th)
- 100 Back: Kieran Moran (4th), Vlad Moscaliuc (11th)
- 100 Breaststroke: Filip Glitterstam (6th)
