More on Rye resident John Thain. In separate reports, the Wall Street Journal this week reported Thain is looking beyond the NYSE and is considering a job in Washington DC. He has been advising Arizona Senator John McCain on his presidential bid and may serve on his staff in a senior role if McCain wins the election (Note to Thain: hedge and don’t sell your house in Rye). Thain is one of 13 finance committee co-chairman for McCain.
