In Heartbreaker, Girls Varsity Volleyball Is Diced by Pelham

In a heartbreaking loss, Girls Varsity Volleyball was diced by Pelham on Friday. The team fell one set to three.

“A heartbreaking loss for Rye,” said Girls Varsity Volleyball Geri Jones. “We played so hard, but little mistakes tripped us up.”

Defense was led by Mara Ball with 24 digs; Julie Halasz had 13. The offense was led by Maddie Slattery with 28 assists. Mara Ball had 11 kills. Julie Halasz had 7 kills. Ashley Kessner, Natasha Meyer, and Leyla Murati each had 4 kills.

The team’s season moves to 4-6
