Girls Soccer Cruises to 6th Win of Season vs Byram Hills
Garnets Girls Soccer came out strong against league rival Bryam Hills and continued the momentum all the way through the match to come away with a 5-0 win on Friday evening. Rye struck for two goals within the first 10 minutes of play and never looked back.
Sophomore Charlotte Keenan scored the pair of quick goals with assists from Shira Rand and Hannah Jachman to get the party started. Jachman added another assist on Keenan’s hat trick goal, and she scored herself to cap off a 3-point game. Bowyn Brown dropped the cherry on top off an assist from Lyla Keenan to complete the scoring. Tessa Labowitz was in the net for Rye and had 6 saves for the shutout.
The Garnets (6-0-1) will continue their league play Saturday night (9/21) at Nugent Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm against Eastchester High School. Watch Rye’s win vs Bryam Hills here (note: it is password protected).
