Time to clean out your bookshelves and attic and help out folks in need halfway around the world.
Donate your gently used, high quality books and they can become the means to support literacy and improve the lives and education of child soldiers in Northern Uganda. Every book counts and funds raised will go towards rebuilding schools and providing scholarships to these children.
When: March 5th to March 22nd
Where: Collection bins can be found outside the Rye High School library. Too busy to drop them off, just call 914-406-5542 or 914-588-9232 to arrange a pick up.
Cannot Accept: Books without ISBN number, elementary or high school textbooks, encyclopedias, readers digest books, romance novels, or books over 10 years in age
Goal: Collect 3,000 books (just 3 per student at Rye High School).
