Subject: Brief Smoke-Related Evacuation of MS/HS Building
Dear Parents and Guardians of Rye City School District Middle and High School Students:
The Rye Middle and High School campus was evacuated briefly this morning due to smoke in one of the Middle School science classrooms. The students and faculty were able return to the building in a matter of minutes once the 'all clear' was issued. The safety of our students, faculty and staff is always our first priority. We apologize for any inconvenience or discomfort this caused.
