Sack’ed: In Rye, It’s Cohn & Dems in Landslide Victory; Rye’s Latimer Slams Astorino for County Boss

Good morning.

At least for the Dems.

In a sweeping victory, Mayoral candidate Josh Cohn and the Democratic ticket Moving Rye Forward team of team of Sara Goddard, Ben Stacks and Julie Souza swept the election. Rye incumbent Mayor Joe Sack and his All Rye team of Susan Watson, Elizabeth Parks and Terry McCartney fell in defeat. Cohn captured 61% of votes versus just 39% for Sack.

In other news, Rye's George Latimer successfully toppled County Boss and GOP'er Rob Astorino in a 57% to 43% vote, another resounding beat-down. Rye's Catherine Parker, a Democrat but the only incumbent in this recitation, also scored big, drowning GOP opponent Norm Rosenblum  66% to 34%.
