Memorial Day, Monday, May 28: Jay Cemetery Wreath Laying and Remembrance

After the morning Memorial Day parade and ceremony on the Rye village green, Rye residents have the rare chance to see inside the private three acre John Jay family cemetery that is hidden away, surrounded by the county owned Rye Marshlands park.

The Descendants of John Jay and the Board of the Jay Heritage Center invite the public to observe Memorial Day and remember the patriotic service of American veterans interred in the private Jay Cemetery.

Ceremony at Jay Cemetery
1pm – 2pm on Monday, May 28, 2018
Visitors may park at either the Jay Heritage Center or Marshlands Conservancy

Reception immediately following at the Jay Mansion from 2pm – 3:30pm. It is free and open to the public.
