Rye Girls Varsity Rugby defeated Hudson Catholic 17 – 10 and New Rochelle 28 – 14 on Saturday.
“The team should be very proud of the way they played,” said Rye Girls Varsity Rugby Coach Ally Furcick. “In both games they took about a minute to shake off nerves and then executed the game the way they know how, which is clear from the final scores.”
The Garnets are 4 – 2 for the season. The final games are Wednesday vs. Greenwich and Horace Mann at home. It will be senior night for the Garnets.
