Girls Lacrosse Wins 18-3 on Senior Night to Clinch League Title

The Rye Girls Lacrosse team celebrated senior night in style on Wednesday, May 14, steamrolling Mamaroneck 18-3. The big victory came under the lights at Nugent Stadium and helped the Garnets clinch the league title at 4-0.
“Tonight was a special game celebrating our seven seniors – Taylor, Lucy, Cami, Mary, Caroline, Kathleen, and Katherine,” Head Coach Michelle Mason told MyRye.com after the win. “We had an amazing crowd and want to thank the Rye Youth Lacrosse community for showing up in the nasty weather to support our wonderful seniors.”
The seven members of the class of 2025 are Taylor Bainbridge, Lucy Wyckoff, Cami Brooks, Mary Sack, Caroline Doyle, Kathleen Denvir, and Katherine Ebeling. All seven contributed to the lopsided victory.
The game being held on turf allowed it to go forth after both golf teams and baseball had their events cancelled due to rain.
Rye (11-4, 4-0) has only one remaining game on the schedule – an evening showdown with Suffern on Friday, May 16. The road game begins at 7:00pm right after the conclusion of the same JV matchup at 5:00. Replay the Mamaroneck win here.
