I’m former Rye Mayor Doug French, and I want to talk to you – every Thursday!
The best part of Rye is the people that live here. One of the things that MyRye.com has done successfully over the last 20 years is assemble and represent the full array of voices that live in our community.
This is why I am hosting the new weekly podcast of MyRye.com Conversations with Doug French.
Released every Thursday on the website and major podcasting platforms, we feature in-depth interviews with the people shaping Rye, Westchester County, and New York State.
The show explores the sticker, longer term, more intractable issues of local government, public policy, development, infrastructure, education, and civic life—bringing clarity and context to the decisions that affect our community.
Just a few of our recent conversations:
- Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook EMS with Chief Kenny Barton (read and listen)
- Flooding with Former Councilmember and Former Flood Advisory Committee Chair Carolina Johnson (read and listen)
- Ascendant Port Chester with Village Manager Stuart Rabin (read and listen)
- Property Taxes with Chair of Board of Assessment Review (BAR) (read and listen)

We also publish show notes every Thursday on MyRye.com including a summary, time stamps, and a full transcript – you can peruse our full library of shows and see what appeals to you.Â
Talk to you on Thursday!
