Just a few short weeks ago, it was Rye Town Supervisor Joe Carvin for US Senate. Now he is running for Congress.
Who knows what back room deal caused Carvin to bail on his US Senate bid, but he is announcing his conselation prize Monday morning – he'll be running for Congress against Nita Lowey. Check the Daily News story or his press announcement below.

JOINED BY HIS WIFE, TWO DAUGHTERS AND SUPPORTERS, RYE TOWN SUPERVISOR AND BUSINESSMAN JOE CARVIN WILL FORMALLY ANNOUNCE HIS CANDIDACY FOR NEW YORK'S 17TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT AT A NEWS CONFERENCE MONDAY, MARCH 26TH AT 11:00 A.M. AT THE RYE TOWN HALL.
MR. CARVIN IS RUNNING FOR CONGRESS TO REIGN IN WASHINGTON'S RECKLESS SPENDING AND DEBT THAT ARE COSTING AMERICAN JOBS AND THREATENING THE ECONOMIC COMPETITIVENESS OF FUTURE GENERATIONS.
