Explosive. June 24. Rye High School grounds. Fireworks on the softball field. ABANDONED, USED FIREWORKS FOUND ON FIELD. NO PEOPLE AROUND.

Oh, Shih Tzu. June 24. Morehead Drive. Caller reports his neighbors Shih Tzu is crazy and keeps attacking his dog whenever he goes for a walk. car 11 sent to speak to dog owner. Dog resides at ** moorehead. Unable to speak to residents at that location. Dog appears to be inside.

Signing Off. June 24. Forest Avenue. Homeowner wants to file a police report in regards to an unknown party stealing political signs off of his private property. stated incident has happened before.

Red, Right, Stay in Swim Area. June 24. Received a call on VHF 16 reporting youths swimming across Mamaroneck Harbor Main Channel. VMPD Marine Unit unavailable. PB2 responded to scene. Escorted two youths back to Bleeker Ave. beach. Informed all people on the beach to stay within swim area and to avoid the main channel.

SUSPICIOUS! NO PARKING! June 24. Halstead Place. CALLER STATES THAT A DARK BLUE SEDAN IS PARKED ACROSS FROM HER HOME IN VIOLATION OF BEACH AREA PARKING AND IN ADDITION, TWO PARTIES INSIDE THE VEHICLE HAVE BEEN SCREAMING AT EACH OTHER FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES. OCCUPANTS SPEAKING LOUDLY. CONDITION CORRECTED.

Inbound. June 24. Midland Avenue. CALLER STATES THAT A GROUP OF TEENAGERS SET OFF FIREWORKS AND DIRECTED THEM AT HIS HOME. Caller does not wish to make a report. Area canvassed with negative results.

Branching Out. June 25. Hammond Road / Theodore Fremd Avenue. Report of a tree blocking the road.

Rye PD ducklings June 26, 2020

Make Way for Ducklings. June 25. Purchase Street / Theodore Fremd. report of ducklings near roadway. The three ducklings were trying to cross the ever-busy intersection of Theodore Fremd Ave & Purchase Street. Rye PD & a concerned citizen were able to corral the ducklings and they were picked up by Animal Nation who then brought the ducklings to a farm in South Salem, NY.

Taking a Toll. June 26. Purchase Street / Station Plaza. 18 wheeler stuck under Purchase Street bridge. MTA notified and Vincents responding. Car 12 and 10 on scene for traffic control. 2 mta units on scene.

Rye PD Maggie June 26, 2020

Doggone it! June 26. Maple Avenue. Resident at ** maple ave has found a black lab in her backyard. Car 12 disp to assist. Maggie was reunited with her owners.

Wanted to Watch Nat Geo? June 27. Newberry Place. caller states a Raccoon entered her home through an open door and is now hiding behind a T.V. cars 12 and 16 sent. backed. removed raccoon, no further incident.

Wacking, Not Blowing. June 29. Central Avenue. leaf blowers. Only observed and heard a weed wacker in operation. No leaf blower seen or heard.

Room 127. June 29. Marriott Courtyard, Midland Avenue. loud party inside Marriott, hotel wants them to leave premises. Unwanted guess were asked to leave room 127. All parties left peacefully.

Ranger Rick Down. June 30. Boston Post Road. Sgt reports a sick racoon. DPW notified and responding. animal terminated. dpw on scene.

Unduly Influenced by Maggie. June 30th. Forest Avenue / Playland Parkway. Caller states her dog Sparky ran away canvas rye beach to adelaide. sparky no where to be found. will remain in the area for a while to look. (Sparky must have been influenced by Maggie. See above.)
